Privacy Policy
In short
- KEEPii collects no data about you: no account, no server, no advertising, no analytics, no third-party SDK.
- Your photos are analyzed on your iPhone and never leave it.
- Only place names may be requested from Apple, using coordinates rounded to about one kilometer.
- Nothing is deleted without your confirmation, through Apple's confirmation dialog.

Access to your photos
With your permission (full or limited access), KEEPii reads the photos and videos in your library so it can analyze them on your iPhone: duplicates, similar photos, screenshots, large videos, blurry photos, documents, bursts, places, and the number of faces (for portraits and group photos). KEEPii does not recognize or identify anyone and keeps no face model: only the number of faces detected in each photo is stored. You can withdraw the permission at any time in Settings › KEEPii › Photos.
If a photo is stored in iCloud, KEEPii may ask the Photos app to download it to your iPhone in order to display it. That transfer takes place between Apple and your device; KEEPii receives nothing on its side.
Places: the only exchange with an outside service
KEEPii locally reads the coordinates saved in your photos to group them by area. KEEPii never asks for your iPhone's location. To display the name of a city, it queries Apple's mapping service (MapKit) with coordinates rounded to about one kilometer, never a photo or its exact position. Apple handles this request under its own privacy policy. KEEPii only receives the place name, which it keeps on your device.
Data kept on your iPhone
To work quickly and resume after an interruption, KEEPii stores on your iPhone, and only there:
- analysis results: visual fingerprints and quality measurements of photos, the number of faces, positions read from your photos and the place names obtained;
- your choices: photos you dismissed from suggestions, the photo you picked in a group (“My choice”);
- your cleanup statistics and the fact that the introduction has been seen;
- a reduced preview of one of your photos, used as the banner of the home screen;
- the number of free deletions already used, kept in the device Keychain.
This data is never sent to KEEPii or to any third party. It is removed along with the app, with one exception: the simple free-deletions counter, deliberately kept by the Keychain so that a reinstall does not reset the limit to zero. It contains only a number and no information about your photos.
In-app purchase
The purchase of “KEEPii Unlimited, for life” is handled by the App Store (Apple). KEEPii does not receive or store your payment details or your identity; it only checks on your device, through StoreKit, that the purchase has been made.
Sharing and advertising
KEEPii does not sell, rent or share any data. It contains no advertising, no analytics tool and no third-party development kit.
Children
KEEPii collects no data, including from children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no mature content.
Your choices
- Withdraw or limit access to photos: Settings › KEEPii › Photos.
- Erase KEEPii's local data: delete the app (apart from the free-deletions counter, see above).
- We hold no data to give you, correct or erase, since we collect none; you are still welcome to write to us with any question.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its update date.
